Tri-Garden Hot Pot is located at Padungan at the ex-OLD SHOP（老店）. Very easy to spot. Roughly opposite Tao.

They specialised in steamboat.

You can opt for Big Bone Soup(RM5), Vegetarian Soup(RM5), or Si Chuan Hot & Spicy Soup(RM8). The one you see here is Big Bone Soup.

The dipping sauces namely dried chili oil, belacan, and sesame oil.

Here are some meat that you can order:

Besides steamboat, you can order other dishes to go with your steamboat or just to have them with plain rice if you are not in the mood of having steamboat.

Tian Sian Steamboat is finally in Kuching. Heard many good reviews about it as well the bad ones. It’s located at Jalan Tun Jugah. Very easy to spot, it’s just next to a boutique and you can see it from the main road right after you come down from Simpang Tiga flyover.

The place looked pretty classy. It’s a type of mongolian herbal steamboat. You don’t get dipping sauce here, this is what makes them special and different from the rest.

The interior.

The menu. When we were there, many things were not available.

You can opt for vegetarian, spicy or original soup base. Small is RM30 and big is RM35. The difference is the amount of herbs used in the soup. They claimed that you won’t get thirsty eating this steamboat and it’s true. We had difficulty finishing our drinks after that.

There’s also combo pot which wasn’t available when we were there.

We ordered two types of meats, lamb(above), pork shoulder(RM13), beancurd(RM7), golden needle mushroom(RM7), white cabbage(RM7), and two bowls of plain rice(RM2/each).

Total spent was RM119.90, inclusive of 10％, I’m sure you will “sweat” now seeing the price. Be prepared with money when you go there, it’s a very high end steamboat place. Do you think it can survive long in Kuching?

Mitsu Shabu Shabu is opened quite a while ago but no chance to go until few days back.

Located behind Atmosfera Cafe. It’s at the shops opposite tHe Spring and next to Swinburne.

There’s two sections, smoking and non-smoking.

We ordered these instead of going for the shabu-shabu:

Indian Fried Noodle(RM5), it’s quite spicy, not for those can’t tolerate spiciness.

Fair Lady Noodle(RM5), it’s on the sweeter note.

Fried Noodle with BBQ Sauce(RM5), a bit spicy.

By the way, this place is HALAL coz we saw the cert.

Swan Teem Steamboat is located at RH Plaza. I wonder is there any place at RH Plaza that sells incontinence products?

Oppss… Out of topic. Anyway, there’re several steamboat shops there and one of them is Swan Teem. Maybe you can discuss over the above mentioned product while having your steamboat. Is it a good idea?

Not many people because it’s a weekday.

We were told that you can get mussels there but when we were there, there’s no mussel in sight. Quite disappointed.

For adult, it’s RM18 per person.
For children, it’s RM12 per person.

No wastage is allowed just like any other place. You will be charge for the amount of waste.

This is quite a new place for steamboat in Kuching. It’s situated at RH Plaza. The location is a bit hard to describe. You have to know where is “Pai Jia Le”(百家乐). Go behind it and you will see it. It’s the row of shop on your left.

You will get gas stove and hotplates for it. It’s the same as what you get at Hornbill Steamboat.

Lime Juice and Watermelon Juice. The fruit juice is very lowly priced. They range form RM1.50-RM2.50 only. Even tinned drinks are only RM1.70 each.

The seafood and meat section. They are marinate diffrently.

The veggies, very limited choice.

Egss, fishballs. meatballs, crabstick, tang hoon, toufu etc.

The steamboat.

They also have ice cream for dessert.

The price per head is RM18 for adult.

Thinking of having steamboat? Tired of going to the same old place like Hornbill, you can go to Garden Steamboat Restaurant. It’s located just next to Magenta. Heard a lot of good reviews about it and decided to try it out.

One of the section but this section was not opened when we were there.

The interior. Very unique and the table clothes are so different from your typical steamboat place.

Take your veggies and meat here.

Cooked food section. You can find various type of vegetables and meats.

The dipping sauces, chilli, belacan and I can’t recall what’s the other one(the middle one).

They cook the crab and prawn here. They will automatically serve you with it once you’re there. It’s free flow!

Some of the things we got. You can opt for just soup steamboat and they will be using charcoal for that. The one you’re seeing here is with hotplate and using gas.

The bill:
(RM22 x 2 persons) + (Green Tea x 3 tins) = RM51.50 + 5% = RM54.07

They have 5% sales tax too. The fruit juice costs more than RM7 and a bottle of mineral water(small) is RM2.50. The tinned drink is RM2.50 each. The drinks prices are quite high. However, the food available is worth it especially the free flow of crabs and prawns and they cook for you too. It’s so much cheaper than having that special BBQ prawn at Topspot!

This steamboat establishment is situated along Peace Road. The open and garden concept make it a very cosy place to hang out for all-you-can-eat buffet steamboat dinner with your friends and family. If you don’t like the usual oily type using hotplates, then this is the place for you.

Some ready-cooked food such as curries, fried noodles, rice, mixed vegetables etc.

Chicken and mutton kebabs.

They offer chicken satays now!!! They are big but too bad they were tasteless because there were too many orders for it till they didn’t have time to marinate the satays properly.

Chicken wings are the hit among the diners. Once they are out, they are gone! You have to act fast to secure your share.

All these for RM18 per adult. Drinks are calculated separately. Canned drinks are RM2.50 each. They also have a variety of fruit juices, teas, in-house drinks etc.

Make sure you book before you go if you plan to go there on days like new year’s eve, Christmas’ eve…

Chong Qing Steamboat is a new steamboat outlet that serves spicy steamboat or in Chinese it’s called “ma la huo guo”. This steamboat originated from Chong Qing, China. It is located at the same row as Ambank near Choice Daily

Also, the design of the washroom is pretty unique with special lightings and various mosaic colours co-ordination at the washing area.
