Attention to cheese lovers! Ending on 29th!! Quick before it’s too late!

Say Cheese!

Cheese is a type of food that not many can gate. In fact, it is adored by many and exists in many complimenting forms, be it as an one part of the ingredients for pizza & pasta or as the ‘leading role’, in cheese cakes and so on. We crave for its gratifying taste as it melts in out mouth or the affectionate aroma it carries hot from the oven.

According to cheese.com, there is evidence that cheese had actually existed as far as during the prehistoric age. There is no claimed or known inventor of cheese and it is more likely that cheese was ‘accidentally’ created when milk coagulated or thickened. Today, cheese comes in hundreds of different varieties, made from either raw, skimmed or pasteurized milk of the cow, goat, sheep, and even those of buffalo, horse and camel.

Still, when it is time to indulge, one just have to give in to the calling of food food and that’s exactly what Grand Margherita has to offer with its Say Cheese promotion at the Orchid Garden Coffee House, happening 20th till 29th January 2011.

The Buffet lunch that pays tribute to ‘everything cheese’ starts off with 8 enticing cheese tapas. Chicken wings with Blue Cheese Dip, Risotto Croquettes with Mozzarella and Smoked Turkey, Smoked Salmon Cheese Roll and Mozzarella in Carrozza with Anchovy Sauce are amongst the ones not to be missed out.

Adding a pinch of Japanese to the buffet, there’s also the Cheese & Chicken Floss Maki as well as the Cheese, Cucumber & Crabstick Maki.

For main course, diners are set to be spoilt for choice as the buffet line expands to host more than 12 wonderful dishes. Braised Beef Brisket with Danablu Butter & Creamed Potato, Oven Baked Lasagna with Chicken Bolognaise & Cheese, Gran Moravia Crusted Cod Loin with Sauce Vierge as well as the Slow Braised Lamb Shank on Soft Polenta with Cheese are some of the leading casts for the show.

Not forgetting the simple yet equally satisfying selection of cheese with condiments and freshly baked bread and cheese stick for diners to mix and match with their favourite types of cheese.

At the show kitchen, our chefs are also readt to serve you your choice of pasta, be it spaghetti, penne or fettuccini stopped with your favourite type of sauce.

The gastronomic journey ends with a high note at the Dessert station where diners would find Coffee Cheese Cake, Green Tea Creme Brulee & Sweet Fruit Chutney, Oriental Carrot Cake as well as the Classic Cheese Cake ready to satisfy. Our pastry chef is also ever ready the Dessert Station to fold out piping hot Cheese Pancake.
