The Club Lobby Lounge is located in Riverside Majestic Hotel. It’s just right next to the main entrance of the Riverside Shopping Complex. Currently, it’s only accessible via the side entrance just outside of the Hotel’s lobby, The Club Lobby Lounge opens up to a vibrant and inviting space. Upon completion of the Hotel Lobby due in June, guests of the hotel would be able to enter to the lounge via a large sliding door from within the hotel lobby itself.

It has unique and distinctive choice of decoration and ambience. Upon entering, one would surely notice the hard-to-be-missed centrepiece which consists of 2 sets of 2-pieces wood artefact. The artefact, made from local Belian wood is actually 2 individual wood forms being stacked on one another in such a way that it is both a creative masterpiece yet also a functional lounge table.

For those who prefer to see the baristas and bar tenders in action, the high chairs lining the bar area would give you the exclusive seat to all the actions as well as front row seat to the in-house live entertainment. The whole lounge follows a concept of natural timber tone with contrasting black granite.

There’s also the ceiling piece: a dark mahogany coloured native pattern illuminated with soft cove lights which is also widely used throughout the whole lobby lounge to add to its soft and cozy ambience. Around its circular outer walls, comfortable pastel-coloured sofas with throw cushions form clusters of lovely seating bays, perfect for privacy or just a casual get together with friends and business associates.

Just want to have a drink? The beverage menu starts from full range red and white wines, house pouring brands, hot drinks to health drinks.

The Club also serves a wide selection of cakes and pastries, including pies, pastries, cookies and even chocolate pralines, displayed in illuminated counters.

This suits the different appetites of its guests that come in from as early as 9am when it opens in the morning or those who stayed till as late as The Club’s closing time at 1am.

In conjunction of the opening, The Club Lobby Lounge is having its Happy Hour Deal from 12pm till 9pm daily. During this period, guests are entitled to the Buy 1 and get 1 Free offer for all house pouring brands, inclusive of beer, house wine and cocktails.

It’s a pleasure to be invited to the cocktail reception two nights ago. Here’s some food that we had.

The oysters were a hit among those who attended.

One of the desserts available.

Small in size but packed with freshness and flavours.

While you are at the lounge, do not miss the chance to sign up for the FREE Privilege Card that would entitle you to a 10% discount off the total food & beverage bill at the lounge.

The same card also carries identical privileges when used at Riverside Majestic’s sister hotel Grand Margherita’s Rajang Lobby Lounge.

According to the hotel’s spokesperson, holders of the privilege card could look forward to more upcoming promotions, made exclusive to them which are already in the planning.

Managed to pay a visit to Pullman Kuching recently. This post will show you the eateries available in the hotel.

There are two restaurants in Pullman Kuching:

Puzzle offers an al fresco dining experience with international and regional dishes.

This should be Nu Er Hong, a Chinese restaurant with an open concept kitchen.

If you just want to hang out with your friends, you can do so also at the following places in the hotel:

Deja Vu, a cosy lounge at the lobby.

Cafe Ch@t allows you to get connected while enjoying you pastries.

Liquid, the hotel’s superlative poolside venue with a DJ entertaining the crowd every weekend.

How can hotel be complete without ballrooms for banquets or functions right?

This is taken at one of the ballrooms. Did a rough estimation of the tables, they can roughly fit more than 1000 people here.

For reservations and enquiries, please call 082 222 888 or email to h6332@accor.com

Pullman Kuching is now open. It’s now one of the landmarks in Kuching. Very easy to spot, it’s located at the golden triangle of Kuching. Various places of interests are in walking distant and there are many other hotels surrounding it.

The new hotel houses two restaurants Puzzle, which offers an al fresco dining experience with international and regional dishes and Nu Er Hong, a Chinese restaurant with an open concept kitchen.

There is also a cosy lounge at the lobby named Deja Vu.

As for those who wish to get connected while enjoying their pastries, you could try out Cafe Ch@t.

Another option would be Liquid, the hotel’s superlative poolside venue with a DJ entertaining the crowd every weekend.

I just realized I have a lot of food post from my KL trip last year that I haven’t share. All these while I thought I had already posted it. Therefore there will be several more posts of my food experiences in KL to share in near future.

I managed to stayed at Holiday Inn Glenmarie Kuala Lumpur for 3 days 2 nights(inclusive of breakfast) when I was in KL. In fact it’s located at Shah Alam. It was a complimentary stay by Holiday Inn.

We had our breakfast buffet at Kites Restaurant. Located at the lower ground floor of the hotel.

The restaurant overlooks a landscaped garden and swimming pool. It offers a wide variety of local and continental fare as well as a wide selections of snacks.

These are some of the food we had during our stay there:

Finally got the chance to try out the lunch buffet at The Eatery, Four Points by Sheraton a while back. Here are some of the food that I had eaten. I’m not that lucky, I was not allowed to take photos there even though I saw many bloggers managed to take quite a lot of photos there. I had to take the photos discretely.

Managed to steal a shoot from my seat. The section you see here is the candy section on the left and the bread section on the right.

These are some of the food that I had tasted, didn’t eat much though because wasn’t feeling very well and didn’t have much appetite.

From the appetizer section.

Some of the main course available at the continental food section.

These are some of the main course from the Asian food section.

Desserts from the dessert section, these are jellies and nata de coco, there were also kueh lapis, and various type of nicely decorated sponge cakes.

I heard you get lots of mussels and sashimi for the dinner buffet which I personally think it’s much more worth it.

Anyway, if you are wondering about the prices, the buffet is priced at (exclude tax and service charge):

RM38++ (lunch)

RM58++ (dinner)

Iced water is free flow.

Free flow soft drink will be charged at RM5++

Not sure about the price of coffee and tea but it is not free flow, one time only.

If you would like to dine there, be sure to call for reservation at 082-280888.

The Eatery is open daily from 7am-11pm.

Was invited to a wedding last weekend. Would like to share the food I had with you. These are some of the dishes available for those that want to have dinner/lunch banquet at Four Points by Sheraton. The host had changed the original menu to what you see now as the one proposed earlier on was not suitable for the guests.

I’m sorry but I cannot give you much feedback on the food as banquet food usually taste almost the same everywhere to me, nothing much to rave about them unless if they are really really bad or really really delicious then that’s different story.

Four Season Combination Platter. There were 4 types of appetizers there but I don’t know the names and I cannot recognize them in the photos. If not mistaken, there’s beef, chicken, crab stick roll and sio bee.

Braised fish lips with Crab Meat Soup.

Oven Roasted Chicken with Mango Salad. At least this is something I don’t always come across in a banquet.

Steamed Red Lion Fish with “Tong Kwai” and Scallions Julienne in Superior Sauce.

Sauteed Buttered Prawn.

Braised Mixed Vegetable with Garlic.

Lotus Leaf Rice with Chicken and Mushroom.

Chilled Sea Coconut Sweet Soup with Lemon.

I’m sure many locals know where is Sematan Palm Beach Resort. It’s about 1 and half hour drive from Kuching. If you stay there, your stay will include buffet dinner and buffet breakfast.

If you do not stay there but you still want to dine there, you can see the prices in the above photo. Not sure how they charge on weekdays though.

The interior.

Here are the food we had when we were there:

Was expecting to have some seafood but they only served fish that night.

You can also make your own rojak and ais kacang.

The salad, fruit and cake corner.

It’s a good thing they provide dinner and breakfast for the guests as it’s very dark to drive out there to hunt for dinner at night.

erdeka Palace Hotel and Suites is offering a special deal for diners during its anti-inflation campaign effective this month.

Under this campaign, the second person from a group of two people or every second person from a group of four people and above will be charged only RM10++ instead of the usual RM59++ per adult or RM25++ per child.

This is only applicable on weekends during the ‘Fresh and Fabulous’ buffet dinner at its Aurora Court restaurant every Friday and Saturday. The same deal applies every Sunday during the La Casetta Etoile’ buffet at Ristorante Beccari located on the hotel’s ground floor.

The ‘Fresh and Fabulous’ commenced last Saturday featuring local and international dishes such as pasta, sushi, seafood and grilled meats cooked a la minute to the diner’s liking by Aurora Court’s team of chefs.

This time, the Middle Eastern and Indian section is added to spice up the buffet spread. It will be manned by a Pakistani-born chef Ghazi-Ur-Rehman who will be serving up specialities such as spinach mughlai, mutton karahi, chicken shawarma kebab, BBQ stuffed chicken cottage cheese and many more.

I’m sure you won’t find any spider there as the spiders will be trapped using spider traps before the spiders manage to show themselves.
