Another food post from Adelaide. I know you all are waiting for food from Kuching. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, you’ll see food posts from Adelaide for awhile.

Malaysia has Big Apple, in Australia they have Donut King.

Been seeing it all over the places and finally had the opportunity to try the donut out.

The prices seem not so bad, just make sure you don’t convert to Ringgit hahaha…

Very colourful donuts.

Had the classic cinnamon donuts (AUD1.20 each), this is their signature product. It’s smaller in size compared to the other donuts. It was served piping hot so you will be assure that you are getting fresh donuts unlike those on display. Very soft and fluffy donut coated with cinnamon and sugar but too bad the size is small.

You can check out more from their official website (donutking.com.au)

Had the opportunity to go to Port Adelaide.

Before heading back to the city, we had lunch at KFC at Port Adelaide.

Ordered the Streetwise Double Crunch Burger meal (AUD5.95).

The burger here is far more bigger than what we get in Malaysia. Also, the taste of KFC is different too.

A box of chips/fries. Even the fries is different.

It also came with a can of Pepsi.

The lunch deal is available daily.

I guess those staying in Adelaide know Australia Pizza’s House well. Their pizzas are quite cheap compare to many other pizza places.

I’m currently based in Adelaide so do expect food from here. I know you are hoping to see more food from Kuching, Sarawak but I’m not able to share them with you however another owner of this blog is based in Kuching so there will be more Kuching food coming when things sorted out.

Let’s see what kind of pizza they offer…

Margherita (AUD5.40, large), not too thick, not too thin base, double cheese and herbs.

Australian (AUD5.90, large), not too thick, not too thin base, ham and cheese.

Bacon (AUD6.90, large), rindless bacon strips, ionion & egg on a tomato base.

Damper (AUD3.70), the traditional food of Australia. The filling is cheese and garlic.

Very affordable place to go to and you can find it easily in the city. You can check out their website for more information www.australiaspizzahouse.com

Do you know Singapore Chicken Rice has a new branch?

It’s located at Hock Lee Shopping Centre, easily located, just near the main entrance.

The interior is quite different than other branches.

It’s so colourful and divided into sections with different designs.

You can see 3 different interior designs in this post alone.

As usual, the food we ordered… No prices and exact names available because forgot to keep track of ofthem but the pricing and naming are similar in every branch.

Steamed chicken rice.

Roasted chicken rice.

Mushroom noodle (this isn’t the exact dish name but these two words can be found in the actual dish name).

Dumpling chicken noodle (hope the name is correct).

Mixed vegetables, could find 2 prawns in there.

There you go… The latest branch of SCR in town. I think it’s the biggest branch too.

Went to Singapore last month, visited Sentosa. Saw Garrett Popcorn and out of curiosity, we decided to buy some to try. It’s just outside of Universal Studio.

A Tradition…Since 1949.

Very nice plastic bag, you have to ask for it though.

Chicago Mix(SGD8, small). It’s actually a mix of CheeseCorn(yellow) and CaramelCrisp(brown).

CheeseCorn was odd but CaramelCrisp wasn’t bad. Overall, the popcorn wasn’t bad, big and hardly found any seed that didn’t pop unlike what we usually found in local popcorn.

I don’t think you will be in time to get the RM1/piece chicken now. It’s Sunday, I’m sure it’s gone in no time at all branches. Don’t worry… You can try to join the craze this coming 2nd February! Be sure to go early, limited pieces available.

This photo was taken at 1.17pm on 28th January.

Here’s something to take note, it’s for dine-in only and only 5 pieces per bill. So do not expect to take away unless you can’t finish your fried chickens, you know what I mean… I don’t have to make it sound so obvious right? You all are very smart to figure it out hehehe…

Have fun!

This is going to be the first post of food we had in Singapore from our trip not long ago. Do expect more to come.

Went to Nando’s at Bugis Junction for lunch on the first day in Singapore.

It was packed. It took quite a long time for the food to be served too. Even the bill took quite a long time to come. Too many people.

The menu.

The signature sauces of Nando’s, without these, it’s not Nando’s:

Tomato Sauce and Garlic Peri-Peri.

Extra Hot Peri-Peri and Hot Peri-Peri.

The interior.

Bottles of sauces as decorations.

Ordered 1/2 Chicken with Mediterranean Rice (SGD18.90), Lemon & Herbs. The chicken was tender and juicy. Just did not expect frozen veggies were used for the rice.

Soft drink, Coke(SGD2.90)

Supposed to be a quick lunch and turned out to be quite a long one. Finally got to taste Nando’s.

Here’s Nando’s official website: www.nandos.com
