Dim Sum lovers might want to check out Yamisu Tea House.

Yomisu Tea House is located at Premier 101. It’s quite easy to locate because of the building’s colour. I’m sure you will easily spot it.

Since they just opened for business, the place was packed.

They were out of dim sum already.

They adopt wireless paging system. Interesting… First in Kuching, I guess…

The menu but not much choices.

Jasmine tea (RM5)
Only managed to order this:

BBQ Pork (2 in 1) - RM10

Food inconsistent.. Downgrade table setting… Services slow.. Not really “Zhen Kung Fu”
May 14th, 2009 at 9:34 am
Food is rubbish, Service is poor. Don’t waste time & money lah. Go the to the coffee shop next door is much better than the restaurant.
If you don’t believe me, and you still want to try. Please go ahead but remember don’t order any fry dishes. Good luck. Peace!

what a poor restaurant
1. menu is lousy, very limited choices
2. Food not nice, I ordered Hong Kong style fried noodle, it was tasteless
3. Poor hygiene, a lot of fly! just like a fish market
4. Air condition is not cool
Good
1. Nice interior deco
2. Friendly staff
Still need to improve, otherwise i think it can only servive for another few month !

June 2nd, 2009 at 9:02 pm
服务好差,选择也很少.这么大间的餐厅竟然只有三种菜色给我选.招待员也不礼貌,有点看轻人的感觉..我不再去第二次!!烂透了!
June 6th, 2009 at 6:50 pm

Day time for “dim sum” (sometime we can’t order d thing that we want cause finished), so better go before 1pm , if many ppl go earlier kok lo haha. Now Yamisu got cook dish start from evening (Start from 1st June).
June 6th, 2009 at 7:13 pm
Saw some Datuk Datuk been thr…. haha.
Yamisu chefs are from China. As i noe, d “dim sum” master is Cantonese.
I heard some ppl comment that Yamisu “dim sum” is for cat dog. well, i’m wondering d person who said ths is a human being or cat or dog? Or else how he / she noe those foods r for cat dog haha.Izit d ppl who ever eat d Yamisu “dim sum” r cat dog?? hmmm…i think i prefer to be a cat. miao~~
June 6th, 2009 at 7:21 pm

June 6th, 2009 at 7:36 pm

June 7th, 2009 at 2:09 pm
100% agreed wat “show me ur kung fuuu’ said. very poor services n all d staffs r not friendly at all!!! it just opened n d services shld b extra good, isn’t it??? food r total rubbish n d air con is poor.
June 16th, 2009 at 3:11 pm
Thanks ‘unsatisfied customer’. I agreed with what you said as well. I believe 1st impression is very improtant. There is not space or time to learn from a big mistake. If a customer does not satisfied with the food or the service (or both), they will not come back. Good luck!
June 18th, 2009 at 6:26 pm
poor kung fu!!every things r poor!
June 24th, 2009 at 3:43 pm
not nice don’t go… not really real kung fu… don’t go waste money only…
June 25th, 2009 at 11:18 pm
I have been there last weekend…..almost full house!
The food is OK, not bad…
It is a self ordered restaurant, so the time to order the food is indeed faster…
The food is on our table just few minutes after we send in our ordered list! Good!
It is another new place for dim sum seeker to go in fact..
Check it out!
June 26th, 2009 at 7:05 pm
go after three :))))) even better lol!
June 29th, 2009 at 2:05 pm
after three very poor 2.. got the insect in the food…
June 30th, 2009 at 6:00 pm
Thanks for sharing everyone, hopefully they will improve.
July 8th, 2009 at 5:33 pm
If the food is nice, they wont be “rugi” RM10K by now.lolz
July 22nd, 2009 at 8:32 pm
this is a place where they try to get your money by putting up a nice interior design, when you walk in..you feel GREAT… the “great” moment ends as soon as you start ordering, ends miserably when the food comes.. and you get a tragic ending when you get your bills.. :))
Then you will not step into that place for the second time again… kopitiam around there is much better…
July 22nd, 2009 at 8:37 pm
Regarding the Insects in the food… my family experienced that too… the kitchen is not hygienic enough also… especially the chef/staffs… i heard they are not local… china? and we have heard enough about “chinese” hygiene issues… think again..paying soo expensive for that kind of “insect flavored” food….. i would rather go for kampua mee kopitiam next door ! Just had one there last weekend..
July 22nd, 2009 at 9:47 pm

I heard that zhen kungfu going to start re-structure their business from restaurant down-grading to coffeeshop….. ala…. really fake kung fu. going out of business, as predicted and expected!!!
July 23rd, 2009 at 7:18 pm
Yes fake kungu, I heard that as well… they are going to open up kopitiam in 101 too… dim sim is not the way to go (they finally realize it) but kopitiam is.. . zheng kung fu plays DIRTY TRICKS… not only put up tables nailed permanently on the ground… they put up cement vases mounted on the ground too …this is interesting to see when is our MBKS going to take action?
July 24th, 2009 at 12:06 am
The picture of the shop u see at this website is already outdated. they now have PERMANENT “fences” in front of their shops, not sure for what reason they are blocking it.. but some say is for rearing horses and cows. (make good use of public area.)
July 24th, 2009 at 8:32 am
so many complaints -.-”
i tot only me feel like tat…
July 24th, 2009 at 5:48 pm
haha I like the one that says “rearing horses and cows”… i think it’s more for elephant since it’s all cemented permanently to the ground!! maybe zhen kung fu is so jealous of the allll kopitiam customers out there …so they want a share of the “market” too… so put up more tables, more chairs and cement vases like MBKS use along the road in kuching… will be interesting to see their kopitiam if it’s true.. and they probably use their left over dim sum the week before to make some mince meat for the soup or something ?hahha
sigh…it seems that people are all unhappy with this “zhen kung fu” ..so sad !!
and c’mon..time to learn.. people would rather sit at the kopitiam than your fancy restaurant if your food is not nice and dirty, service is slow or food is running out “early!” …….most importantly, their food got insectss … i mean real INSECTS… how disgusting is that!? at least hide it properly first lah…(of course the best is to cook at home! i know… but hide it properly la next time ..ok? )
July 25th, 2009 at 2:28 am
is not complaint, just some comment from others.
some think that they are nice with around ppl, but after what i read from all this comment, what else can i say.
from a high class restaurant convert into a kopitiam??? what else can i say about this restaurant.
u might find the chef from china making kolo mee instead of dim sum
July 25th, 2009 at 2:36 am
not only from this comment i heard bad things about them
even my colleague went there and told me the food is not nice, expensive and slow services. they introduce their “zhao pai” food which turn up to be a baked potato. but i nvr try b4 though i went to 101 a few times
July 26th, 2009 at 2:24 pm
had dinner last nite at of of the 101 kopitiam, sitting outside of zhen kung fu.. they had no customers sitting inside and outside… most interestingly, they have tables outside with NO CHAIRS!!.. and it’s true that they are putting up tables to take up the empty space at the front…..i think you all should go n have a look, they put up a few sad tables together with super big cement vases… it’s so obvious they are up to something dirty …. :))) and tables with NO chairs…
i dont think there’s any eating places in kch dare to challenge MBKS by taking up the public area,.. fix the table / vases permanently on the ground.. so they truly have some “kungfu” when comes to this..
if i do go to zhen kung fu again i want to enjoy the aircond inside i wouldn’t want to sit outside~~ paying RM5 for a pot of chinese tea!!? but it’;s real sad that there was no customer in the restaurant and they close earlier too…..
friends said the food served last week was horrible when they went there for lunch..service is bad also… good thing was no insect found in their siu mai… LoL…
July 27th, 2009 at 10:55 pm
Now everyone would love to open business in kuching, where you can do whatever you like with the public area near you… put BIG vases, build a mini zoo etc etc.. if yamisu can, everyone also can.

Aiyo….. why hah?? can’t we have a bit better in our comment? See, let us be hornest, you go because you want something different. You commnet because you hate to see what is happening. So…. give a truth comment.
You ate insert, bad luck! you meet bad service, bad timming. You hate to see the fencing, bad choice of area. So, since you still choose to be there, Shut up!
Guys, we suppose to share idea, comment leh? what is happening here now? They open or not, since you don’t like it, don’t go. You only got money for the kopitiam, go ahead. You don’t like to see the fencing, stop patrol that area. Anyway, go Kuching festival. See what you get.
Diam diam and eat your dim sim.
August 9th, 2009 at 11:46 pm

December 3rd, 2009 at 10:58 pm
I am dim sum lover… I tried dim sum everywhere I go, Yamisu dim sum I will range it 8 / 10 points… The “流沙包“ at Yamisu the price is reasonable and the taste is the best that I ever tried…. Even a high class chinese restaurant in Singapore cant compete with Yamisu for that…
December 3rd, 2009 at 11:01 pm
I went there every trip I back to Kuching… To be fair to Yamisu I will say that a newly opened restaurant at everywhere is crowded as everyone in the town which to try that… as its hardly to find such a nicely decorated Dim Sum shop in Kuching… This the only 1 that I can find in Kuching…
December 3rd, 2009 at 11:08 pm
We can’t judge Yamisu as a lousy restaurant just based on the comments on the website… I will say it’s a good restaurant as what I found on my every trip back to Kuching, the service and the staff behaviour is getting better and better, even the taste of the foods improved too.. The “Char Siew” at Yamisu is highly recommended too, it’s just like Hong Kong restaurant “Char Siew”….. I believe everyone in this world make mistake, we must give he/she a chance to improve… Try it…. I bet you will never regret!
