TIAN SIAN STEAMBOAT in Kuching (天香回味养生煮) THE TAROT CAFE
Apr 17

Big Apple Donuts & Coffee is another franchise that is recently opened in tHe Spring, just opposite Starbucks. It’s been almost a week and the queue there is still very long. Everyone wants a piece of the donut! This is available in KL and also Sabah. Kuching only has it now.

Their donuts range:
Pink Panther, Duren Duren, Chocoring, Rolling Stone, Kiwi Blitz, Semi Glacier, Say Cheese, Go Nutz, Kimochi, Green Teaser, Chocoholic, Iceberg, Whitnut, Snowy, 101 Dalmation, Choreo, Spicy Flossy, Mango Tango, Glacier, Californian Almond, Moonraker, Chococinno and The Alien.

All together there are 23 types.

DONUTSS!! According to our source(we don’t know how true it is), the donuts here are smaller than the branches in KL and it’s RM0.30 more expensive than KL. How can?!?! You already increase the price, don’t reduce the size!

You can buy 1 donut which is RM2.30 each. You can also buy in box here’s the prices:
12 pcs in one box, RM22
6 pcs in one box, RM12
2 boxes with 6 pcs in each box, RM24
No GST.

The open kitchen concept.

Nice box. This box can fit in 6 pcs of donuts.

Here’s the donuts we had tried. Pink Panther, The Alien, Californian Almond, Say Cheese, Chocoholic and Green Teaser. They aren’t oily and sweet. Just nice.

However, donut is very fattening ;p So you must be careful else you might need to get diet pills to reduce your fatness.

The donuts are way too expensive, just becoz they came from the U.S or made to be seen as such.I am sure our local bakery can do the same if they place a little more effort!

  2. lovebell Says:

    Big Apple Kuching…is :

-indeed more expensive than that in KL by around RM0.30
-smaller than those you find in KL
-a good thing for people back home cause while i was visiting, ppl seemed quite excited about it.
-seriously…a major eyesore for me personally because…
well, try going there one day and see for yourself. the place is a mess. there are flies around sometimes in the kitchen. The dough is like spilt around places. The plates on which they serve the doughnut are really not kept clean, the gloves they use are dirty. The place just doesn’t seem clean enough for a Bif Apple franchise. They better clean up their act.

Big Apple is spreadin a scam. a copy cat. Claim they’re from the US, but actually from M’sia. Big Apple donuts are oily and stiff, try J.CO and check it out urself. Theyre at Pavilion and Sunway Pyramid.

eiyla, how to answer? We’re not the owner of Big Apple so how are we going to answer her? Didn’t you see my answer to her? Anyway, I don’t think I saw any HALAL cert there when I was there.

Big Apple won’t come here to answer the question also because I don’t think they even know this site exists. If you are not happy that Big Apple is not responding to her question then you should contact Big Apple directly and complaining here won’t do much also. This site doesn’t belong to Big Apple. Here’s the site: http://www.bigappledonuts.com/ go shoot them with as many questions as you want. Hope that you will find the answers from them. All the best.
