I”m sure many of your from Kuching are familiar with Singapore Chicken Rice. It’s a hot among Kuchingites. It’s here for more than 2 decades!
This is the one located at Jalan Song Thian Cheok.
The interior. Photo was taken few months back, hence the Chinese New Year decorations.
You can see the chicken hanging there. They have two types, steamed and roasted. You can mixed them when you order provided you go with more than 2 persons.
Each person will be given with a bowl of soup, usually salted vegetable soup. The chili is a must have you have their chicken rice.

You can also opt for other food such as Sarawak Laksa when you dine there. There are western food and Malay food as well.
The drinks. Here are lime juice and the newly introduced 3 Sour juice.
You can get 20% discount when you dine there using My Privilege Book, only valid for weekdays though.
After eating, we went to hunt for memory stick as the current one is too small and we took lots of photos.

last nite… went to a SCR outlet in Sibu, near Lot 9 Commercial centre….
The place was GREAT!!!!…
but…. the worker or service was poor… imagine having a staff “coughing” badly when getting our order……… even coughing infront of customer???…
aint that will be a bad impression????
pls…… help……

Hi! I have some problem here…
I was a regular customer at SCR Jalan Song ( near Taman Sahabat ) and I want to share something about the customer service at SCR Jalan Song!!!!!
At 1.45pm on 26th July 2009 the waiter taken my order ( steam and roasted chicken rice and my partner is ordering BBQ Chicken Noodle ) and we wait for our order…
20 minutes later… they served the BBQ Chicken Noodle and I still waiting for my chicken rice….. ( I was starving that time )
after 30 MINUTES…. I getting annoyed because my order still not arrive!!! imagine I was ordering CHICKEN RICE and they taking so long time!!!!!!
I called one of the staff there and asking about my order ( now it have been 40 MINUTES ) and they realize about my order…. they call the kitchen at the lower ground and the answer they get is steam chicken already finish!!! ( that what they said )
what the hell!!!!…. I’ve been waiting for 40 minutes and for what?? the simplest menu that I order ( chicken rice la… ) is habis sudah???? why they didn’t inform me earlier??? org sudah lapar tunggu 40 minutes oooo!!!!!
then I’m so angry and fed-up and I’m canceling the order and going to pay for the bill and guest what…. the cashier bagi muka 10sen and didn’t say anything…. SORRY PUN TIDAK!!!!!!!!

Dear Sir/Madam,
I would like to complain about the service that is provided in your restaurant.
On the 4nd of March, when my friends and I went to your restaurant to have lunch, we encountered some poor services. First, the waitress that served us was not knowledgeable, I have to keep repeating my orders over and over again so that she understand what I was trying to order. Later when I finally thought that she got what I wanted to order and went off, things did not turn out to be what I expected.
After waiting for around 10 minutes, our food started to come. While we were eating, the waitresses kept on serving us with the food that we did not even order, not just once, but a few times. That disturbed us while we were eating. Besides that, I ordered two drinks, but only one came. I thought the other will come soon, but it did not. I waited for quite some time and decided to ask them. Surprisingly, they said I only ordered one drink and told me to wait because they will make it now. They did not even apologize for the time that I have wasted waiting for my drink.
Apart from the service, the food was nice and the environment was quite comfortable too. For some reasons which I do not know why, the seats upstairs were not available. Customers come and go because of the insufficient place to sit.
Lastly, sorry I have offended you in any way at all. I as a customer is just trying to express how I feel and certainly hope that some improvements will be made in order to better satisfy the customers.

James, thanks for sharing your experience but I’m sorry that you won’t be getting any reply from them because this is not their website, this is just my blog and I doubt they will even come here to read. You are complaining to the wrong person. Since I have no idea who the owner is so I can’t help you convey your dissatisfaction.

hello..i have been to almost all the scr restaurant at kuching area and lately they served iced cold chicken with cold rice. i tried to search for scr website and couldnt found 1.
