Here’s a reminder… Please vote for us :) Hehehe… Why you should vote?

Here’s why:

It’s all about the food you can find in Kuching and places that we had visited outside Kuching. Basically it’s a F&B portal except the difference is that we experience those food ourselves instead of like any other portal that just surf around or get the details and contacts from websites, advertisements, brochures, yellowpages and so on.

If you had voted thanks. I wish you can vote more than once :P Hehehe…

Anyway, it’s new year’s eve, what’s your plan for today? What’s your new year’s resolution? Want to go for a vacation at Outer Banks?

Sarawakian would like to wish you a very happy new year and a great year ahead!

It’s not easy to be a chef, there are so many competitions these days, how can you stand out from the rest? So many cooking schools available nowadays and it’s not easy to make decision on which school you should attend to get your formal training in culinary arts. Some programs might not be that sought after, some do. Therefore you need to do lots of research before you decided to bank on them for your future career.

If you are looking for Texas Culinary School, Western Culinary School or Pennsylvania Culinary School, you are lucky because I’m going to tell you about these schools that can provide you with internationally recognized name for quality culinary education known as Le Cordon Bleu Programs in Culinary Arts and Pâtisserie & Baking. With such recognition, you will be opened to doors of wide range of culinary opportunities in the United States and other countries.

Students that went in without any knowledge can also be an expert as long that you are willing to learn and be taught. If you don’t have the heart to learn and be taught, there is no way you will achieve anything from there, there’s no shortcut and free lunch in this world.

Where to consider? Texas? Pennsylvania? Portland, Oregon? It depends on what you like about the place. Going to study in a place that you like will make studies more fun and easier.

Texas is nicknamed “The Live Music Capital of the World” and it offers a myriad of restaurants, galleries, museums, and theaters as well as nearby outdoor-recreational opportunities.

The Pennsylvania campus is located in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh’s business and cultural districts.

As for the campus in Portland, Oregon, you get to experience the thriving cultural center, restaurant, arts, and entertainment scene. You can also travel just a few minutes in either direction to take in the wonder of the Cascade Mountains or the Pacific Ocean.

So which one do you consider? Wish you all the best in your undertakings. Remember to let us know when you are back, we would love to try out your cooking.

We need food, we love food, else you won’t be seeing this blog. I know many friends that like to cook, however we prefer eating than cooking. Do you ever thought of venturing into the food service industry because of your love for food? If you do, I’m sure you will be looking for the best cooking school to learn and brush up your skills especially in French and American cuisine.

I’m suggesting you to consider these cooking schools such as Minneapolis Culinary Arts, Orlando Culinary School, and Miami Culinary College for your professional culinary training. They offer Le Cordon Bleu culinary arts training and also the Le Cordon Bleu hospitality and restaurant management program.

Why Le Cordon Bleu Program?
1. This is the finest in European and North American culinary arts training programs.
2. Hands-on training. You get to learn the techniques and use the tools of professionals working in the culinary field.
3. You get credentialed professionals as your instructor. They work in the field which enable them to bring the real-world experience into the classroom.
4. You will be exposed to an array of culinary proficiencies.
5. They combine Classical French techniques with modern American technology.
6. They also have industry-current equipment and labs.
7. To ensure that you do well, they do offer tutoring if you need.
8. You get to manage a restaurant. It’s student-managed restaurant that feature fine dining. You will get to learn even more.
9. You will receive the coveted Le Cordon Bleu Diplôme, in addition to their Associate Degree when you graduate.
10. If you need to work part-time to cover your studies they can help you locate part-time employment opportunities. You get full-time career opportunities too after you graduate.

Tempted to further your studies there? You can opt to study in Minneapolis, Miami or Orlando. These are all very nice place to study. Orlando is sunny, Miami is exciting, and Minneapolis is a vibrant downtown with ample outdoor-recreational opportunities.

I hope this article is helpful enough for you. Remember that if you do come back to Kuching to cook up a storm after your training, make sure you let us know and we will surely visit your restaurant to eat up a storm! Hahaha…
